We propose to meet the guide in the park of Malaga, of great botanical interest, at the level of the town hall. From there, and passing in front of the fountain of the three graces, we will walk along the Paseo de la Farola, where the Pompidou museum is located. Pablo Ruiz Picasso's promenade, Miramar hotel and the ascent to the Gibralfaro castle, an Arab castle from the 14th century, from which the Muslims watched the city of Malaga in 360 degrees. Possible visit or just get off the bus to enjoy the best views of the capital of Malaga from the viewpoint.
Then we will go by bus to Plaza de la Merced, where Picasso's birthplace is located and where we will start our visit on foot.
Explanation in front of the Roman theatre and visit of the interior of the Alcazaba. Arabian fortress with 1000 years of history, which was also inhabited, in its magnificent palace of the different Muslim governors until the reconquest of the city. We will continue to the area of the cathedral, pointing out the location of the Picasso museum Málaga and explanation of the Plaza del Obispo where we find the beautiful facades of the episcopal palace and the cathedral.
We will walk to the main street or Marqués de Larios street. Once in the Plaza de la Constitución or Plaza Mayor we are very close to the Thyssen museum. Explanation of its facade and brief stop in front of the Arab baths and church of the Holy Martyrs. Through the Calle Nueva, we will arrive at Puerta del Mar, and there next to it we will visit the main market of Málaga which is accessed through an Arab door of the 14th century, since the old Arab shipyards were located there. We will enjoy the stalls with their colours, smells and shades. Finally, and crossing the Plaza de la Marina, we will arrive at the port, recently remodelled and a fashionable area of the city. Full of shops, restaurants and the perfect place to enjoy some well-deserved free time.
